For Hopkins, having one snow day is like pinching a piece of flesh off their skin.. 2 snow days in a row.... is killing them. Imagine how amusing this is for me (top for monday, bottom for tuesday):Emergency Alert

The Homewood-Peabody-JHMI shuttle will begin limited service at 10 a.m. The service will follow the Saturday schedule: There will be one small bus on the route. It will be scheduled to depart Homewood at the top of each hour and to depart East Baltimore at the bottom of each hour. The operator will attempt to keep to that schedule, but there may be delays because of road and traffic conditions. The final departure will be from East Baltimore at 6:30 p.m.

A special note about The Johns Hopkins Hospital: The hospital will return to normal operations for Monday, Feb. 8. Depending on conditions with residential streets and secondary routes, hospital staff are asked to dig out and return to work on Monday, relieving personnel who worked all weekend so they can go home and get some much-needed rest. If you can’t drive your vehicle because of unfavorable conditions, public transportation, which is expected to return to normal by Monday, is an alternative method for getting to work. The hospital expresses heartfelt appreciation to staff and employees who came in and stayed over this weekend for doing a stellar job on behalf of the hospital, and more importantly, for our patients.

"Buses will run on the half-hour from each location until weather and road conditions require that the shuttle be suspended." This actually sounds quite scary.. considering I have work planned for at least 7 hours tomorrow.. gotta catch that 630am shuttle!
There's too much snow.. today was a snow day because there's about 30 inches on the ground and a lot still untouched, shuttle can't run until 10am, and even then only on a limited schedule, and no one could get to work because it was like a giant pool of snow covering everything. And guess what.. its going to storm again tomorrow.. another 10-20inches in the forecast.. just let me get home already... i'm so sick of the snow. I have so much work left to do and I can't do because of the snow and travel conditions.. cars were piling up because there was only 1-2 lanes open even on main streets, the rest were boulders of snow. When a police car or ambulance tries to push their way through, it was utter mayhem. For those who like snow, you can check out the pics on my facebook. I shall not take any more pictures for now and leave you with the good memories of snow.
