Random 9:20 PM

some random thoughts:

1. A girl riding a bike is sexay.. especially a big bike like a Harley. Same for a girl driving a big car. Like a jeep. So I saw this pretty brunette wearing a pretty sundress with her hair let down and flying around her face riding this harley one day in Charles village.. and I remember thinking to myself.. Man.. that's just too sexy! Hehee

2. Remember the saying, when God closes a door, he opens a window or something along that line? Its true!!! So I'd been miserable the whole past 2 weeks because of my current financial situation. I was put on a leave of absence when I went back home so I didn't get paid. And when I came back I moved to a new place.. security deposit was 1.5 months rent, plus I had to pay rent immediately, plus I had to buy new furniture.. basically I was almost totally broke. So I ate sandwiches for lunch everyday and stopped driving to work and parking in school to save on gas and parking. And I was thinking, this must keep up because even if my pay comes in at the end of the month, I need to pay for my September rent and car insurance, parking, gas and electricity bills, phone bills, credit card bills, so not much is left.. at least until middle of the month when my biweekly pay check comes in again.

And voila guess what... money kept descending on me the past 2 days!! Heehee.. first I remembered that the security deposit from my old apartment was still not mailed to me, so I chased them for it and got the check this week.. and then Kailee just gave me my mail.. which was forwarded to her place when I went home.. and inside I found another check.. my tax return which they took too much of!!! It was not an insignificant amount.. for someone whose bank account is almost in the red like me. Woohoo!!! I'm so happy!!! Add to that the fact that they banked in our pay already.. now my bank account is starting to look healthy again. Heehee.

Okay, next time when I'm not so busy I will take pics of my room to put up I swear. Till then!

Back 7:10 PM

Back in Baltimore.

Moving to my new place + starting my thesis project proved to be quite a handful. Spent the past week unpacking and cleaning and calling the gas and electric company to set stuff up, and settling rent and parking and buying furniture, assembling furniture. All while still working 10 hour days in lab everyday at least. Lost about 5 pounds in a week ahahaha. Also cause I had no time for lunch plus had no food to cook.

But now I'm mostly settled. Still really busy at work though, but one day I will take some pictures of my new home and show it to you guys! Lab has moved to a new location too, into this new building with sunlight shining though the center and where everyone can see everyone else cos its so open concept. Very pretty, won't get S.A.D during winter again!

On the other hand, I just found out that my first authorship had been stolen from me! ARGH... the stuff I had done is going to go under the paper of this tech who left to go to grad school. Honestly, I think I did a lot more work than him, though he probably had another side of the story to piece into the paper. BUT why not leave my data alone so I can make it my paper!!!! damnit i wanna graduate too!!! ARGH! THIEVES!

Photoshoot 7:15 AM

Hello hello!

So, Jackie Chan decided to become a semipro photographer and got Weijie and I to be her models one day. To accomodate busy Weijie, we went to Biopolis for the shoot and spirited him away from his all-consuming lab time to take the pics with us.


It was not that easy to find picture-worthy places in Biopolis, but glad we managed to find some!

First off, war of the sexes!

We were fighting.. Weijie incited it.. then he regretted. See me tame the monkey!

"Okay, from now on, u will listen to me and only me. No one else!"

Jac got us to ride on the kiddy merry-go-round.. it was indeed a frightful ride for us! Blame Weijie for his bright idea...

I look happy.. but I was almost dying of fear of falling off a spinning merry-go-round deep inside hahaha!

Wait till you see the actual place.. I was scared shitless, damn near shitting my pants at having to climb up that tree.. with angry red ants crawling up and down and all around.. and the tree trunk being higher up than the entire me added up.. I was still screaming my head off as Weijie nonchalantly hoisted me up the trunk.. "WILL IT BREAK UNDER OUR WEIGHT!?" "I'M AFRAID OF HEIGHTS!" "I'M GONNA FALL TO MY DEATH!"

武林盟主 also has this slightly straight slightly crooked sexuality. At times when the Estrogen triumphs, she preys on hot guys. Other times when the Testosterone levels peak, she preys on hot girls. Some say that is a side effect of the 葵花宝典. Her doctors are still working to establish that.

Many say she's invincible. But that's not true. Bring a DURIAN in front of her, and she will ditch her sword and raise the white flag. She's still desperately trying to master the 闭气功 so she can overcome this weakness.

She now resides in a tiny little room in a tiny little building in a tiny little university/hospital in the tiny little city of Baltimore, studying her tiny little life away in the hopes of getting some Permanent Head Damage.
